Freetown, Sierra Leone — October 7, 2025
The Environmental Protection Agency of Liberia (EPA) has begun a three-day South–South Learning Exchange with the Environmental Protection Agency of Sierra Leone in Freetown.
Led by Mr. Anthony S. Kollie, Acting Deputy Executive Director, the EPA Liberia delegation paid a courtesy visit to Mr. Sheku Mark Kanneh, Chief Director of EPA Sierra Leone, and senior management to advance experience sharing and partnership.
The delegation also visited the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change of Sierra Leone to discuss deeper collaboration on shared climate and environmental priorities.
A joint technical session convened in the afternoon focused on key multilateral environmental processes, including Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), National Adaptation Plans (NAPs), the National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan (NBSAP), and the Montreal Protocol, aimed at strengthening institutional capacity and implementation across the Mano River Union region.
