REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST - INDIVIDUAL CONSULTANT CHAPTER 5 LEAD CONSULTANCY: OTHER RELEVANT INFORMATION, GENDER AND CLIMATE CHANGE, AND SUPPLEMENTAL NATIONAL COMMUNICATION CHAPTERS

Background

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), pursuant to its mandate under the Environmental Protection and Management Law, coordinates Liberia's implementation of multilateral environmental agreements, including the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the Paris Agreement.

Liberia’s BTR2 and combined BTR3NC4 will include other information relevant to implementation of the UNFCCC and Paris Agreement, including gender and climate change. The BTR3NC4 will also contain supplemental National Communication chapters on research and systematic observation and on education, training and public awareness.

The EPA therefore invites qualified individual consultants to submit expressions of interest for the Chapter 5 lead consultancy on other relevant information and supplemental National Communication chapters.

Objective of the Assignment

The objective is to lead the preparation, review and finalization of Chapter 5 for Liberia’s BTR2 and BTR3/NC4 by compiling and analyzing information on gender and climate change, gender mainstreaming and participation, climate-related research and systematic observation, and climate education, training and public awareness through an inclusive, evidence-based process.
